On Saturday December 10 I’ll bring my electric didgeridoo to Blondie’s in Arcata, on California St. Near HSU. I’ll play two sets of highly original, high-energy dance music accompanied by psychedelic videos. Here’s a sample:
A short clip from my performance at Richard’s Goat on Nov. 4 2022. It was a fun show, but the video projector kept freezing. I put together some very psychedelic videos to accompany my performance. Too bad they didn’t play. I’ll work the bugs out before my upcoming performance on Sat. Dec. 10 at Blondie’s in Arcata. See you there!
The Control Group is in the midst of recording a new album, and I’m excited to share a little preview with friends. Just Doin’ My Job might be the most hard-hitting song we do, and I love playing the bass line on it because it has a great groove. Teri Smolens wrote the song, and Seabury Gould plays the guitars. Here’s a rough mix of the basic tracks:
I had a funny chat with an old friend after I shared this tune with him. He’s been a music journalist for many years. In fact, we even produced some radio spots together once upon a time. These days he hosts a music podcast in his spare time, so I shared this tune and pitched the idea of him having us on his show, as guests, to talk about our music.

Fun show! I’ve never been inside the mini-plex at Richard’s Goat before. What a great venue! I had some technical difficulty between my computer and the projector, so my videos all froze after a few seconds, but it felt great to play there and I’ll work the the bugs out of the video show.
