A short clip from my performance at Richard’s Goat on Nov. 4 2022. It was a fun show, but the video projector kept freezing. I put together some very psychedelic videos to accompany my performance. The Control Group in the Studio

The Control Group is in the midst of recording a new album, and I’m excited to share a little preview with friends. Just Doin’ My Job might be the most hard-hitting song we do, and I love playing the bass line on it because it has a great groove. Teri Smolens wrote the song, and Seabury Gould plays the guitars. Here’s a rough mix of the basic tracks:



I had a funny chat with an old friend after I shared this tune with him. He’s been a music journalist for many years. In fact, we even produced some radio spots together once upon a time. These days he hosts a music podcast in his spare time, so I shared this tune and pitched the idea of him having us on his show, as guests, to talk about our music.

His show emanates from a building that that prohibits unvaccinated people…

Fun show! I’ve never been inside the mini-plex at Richard’s Goat before. What a great venue! I had some technical difficulty between my computer and the projector, so my videos all froze after a few seconds, but it felt great to play there and I’ll work the the bugs out of the video show.
