May 2020 – Like You've Got Something Better To Do

New Album: “Dance DJ” (Didgeridoo Journey)

The pandemic has given me lots of time to make music in the peace and quiet of my off-grid studio, but put a lot of obstacles between my music and its audience. Not only have all of the gigs been canceled, but because all of the libraries and cafes are closed, I can only access the internet in my car, when I’m parked in front of the closed library in town. It’s awkward and uncomfortable with the laptop propped up on the steering wheel, and the connection is slow, so working online has become even more tiresome than before, and I can only handle so much web-work on my weekly trips to town.

A couple of weeks ago I got it together to release a new digital album of didgeridoo solos at my bandcamp site. I really want people to hear what I sound like live these days. I’ve played…

All of the live venues are closed, but I can still play live in the forest. Here’s a taste:

Living Off-grid is even more isolating now that all of the wifi cafes and libraries are closed, but it hasn’t stopped me from making music. It just makes it more difficult to share it with you, but you’re worth it. Keep checking back, there’s a lot more to come.
