Interpretace, 40 Years of Sovereign Interpretation World Premier, Friday Nov 22 at Outer Space in Arcata, CA

Electric Earth Music

This Friday, November 22, Outer Space in Arcata will host the world premier screening of my new musical documentary: Interpretace, 40 Years of Sovereign Interpretation.  Interpretace began in 1979 as an Industrial/Noise/Punk band in Socialist Czechoslovakia, behind the Iron Curtain.  40 years later, in 2019, the band continues to produce interesting, relevant and original music.  I discovered Interpretace a couple of years ago while planning a trip to Prague.  I wanted to find Czech bands who make interesting music to interview for my KMUD radio show.  Interpretace stood out to me immediately, because I discovered a very strong Industrial/Noise album by them titled Tschernobyl from 1986…

Electric Earth Music

Sarah’s Search for Santa is a Christmas album the whole family can enjoy.  The album simulates a psychedelic experience, but in no way encourages, or even suggests, drug use.  It is available as a download…

Movie Premier and Live Performance at Outer Space in Arcata on Friday Nov.22

Electric Earth Music

On Friday November 22, Outer Space in Arcata will host the world premier of my new movie, Interpretace, 40 Years of Sovereign Interpretation, followed by my first live performance as a solo artist in the area since April.  This will be a very special evening of entertainment.  The show will begin with a few short music videos highlighting the music I make with the “Orchestra of the Unwanted.”  That is, the instruments I create from found objects, circuit-bent electronic toys, and recycled materials.  That will be followed by my new feature, Interpretace, 40 Years of Sovereign Interpretation, a musical documentary about Czechoslovakia’s seminal Industrial/Noise band in celebration of 40 years original collaborative music.

Interpretace: 40 Years of Sovereign Interpretation
