  1. If we want to preserve the traditional style of the hippy growers we should stick to the one plant per acre rule. That is small scale survival farming, but the hippies unfortunately have very little power compared to the industrial scale growers who have captured virtually every County agency, including the Supervisors, the planning department and the HCSO.. Screw those guys, Organic, sun grown small scale patches are what gave Humboldt the reputation it has. Indoor weed does not deserve to be branded as Humboldt grown, it is an industrial product, not the healing herb we love. And yes I now the “market” likes indoor but there are plenty of fools who would not recognize good herb if you blew it in their face.

I didn’t move here to get rich, I moved to get away from the city and grow my own organic food, and forage for food like our feral ancestors. That was my Humboldt dream. There is a primal joy that comes from capturing a wild salmon or a perfect wild mushroom.

Greed sucks, greedy people should get out of here and move to somewhere flat so they can stop bulldozing the hills.
