  1. Right on as always. You are hereby awarded The SoHum Aging Hippie Prize for literature, which means you get three loose rolling papers and one free pass to move to the head of the line at Shop Smart (Murrish)…thanks!

  2. Property is theft!

La majestueuse égalité des lois, qui interdit au riche comme au pauvre de coucher sous les ponts, de mendier dans les rues et de voler du pain.

In its majestic equality, the law forbids rich and poor alike to sleep under bridges, beg in the streets and steal loaves of bread.

At least begging in the street is protected in the U.S. although many of our local Sheriffs do not seem to understand that. What a great system, we have Deputies (and the Sheriff himself) with high school diplomas interpreting and enforcing laws written by people with graduate degrees.

Does anyone know if Mike Downey was born as a congenital idiot, or did his Mama drop him on his head when he was a baby? Or is it both?

    • You are right Liz. All property is theft, all private land is stolen, and all government is tyranny. Nothing stupefies so fast or so effectively as too much money, or too much power. Clearly we give our county sheriff way too much of both.
