  1. Sure it sounds a tad crazy, but you know how I feel about Grateful Dead music, so I’m with you on this. Since you brought up Hitler, I’m recommending Alice Miller’s book The Untouched Key: Tracing Childhood Trauma in Creativity and Destructiveness. She looks at Hitler, and many other notable people. For anyone interested in preventing future Hitlers, her books are worth reading.

  2. What a load of egregious BS. The author doesn’t even have the origin myth “straight.” Check out the Waldos, San Rafael High School, Louis Pasteur statue, 4:20 PM, 1971. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/4-20-and-the-waldos-the-hidden-origins-of-pot-s-annual-celebration-1.3040762 Phil Lesh was a 31 year old touring musician in 1971, and probably spent zero time hanging out with local high school students. It’s probably true that Dedaheads took 420 on tour, but as a member of the clan, I can’t recall hearing the term until the 90’s, around the time the “touch-heads” took over the lot scene.
