This new episode focuses on one underlying core belief of our culture, that is, that man has dominion over the Earth, and contrasts it with the underlying belief of most of the world’s indigenous tribes, which is that man belongs to the Earth. All of the cultures of the world ascribe to one of these two fundamental beliefs, and this underlying principle, perhaps more than any other, shapes the culture and determines it’s destiny.
As we contemplate the unfolding nuclear disaster at Fukushima, Global Climate Change, and the destruction of the last wild habitats on Earth, we should ask ourselves, “Where did we go wrong?” The Living Earth Connection explores this question by taking a critical look at the culture that has so dramatically altered the face of the Earth over the past 10,000 years, in hopes of revealing the ideological errors that prevent us from living sustainably and within the carrying capacity of the planet on which we all reside,
